Just been re-reading Ram's link here to try to understand why your govt is blocking the blogs. The article says: the one blog government has asked them to block is Princesskimberly.blogspot.com.. But hang on -- is this some kind of a joke? Princess K appears to be some rather sad American teenager with all of 2 entries on her blog. Or I am I missing something?
I wonder if anyone is bothering to follow Ram's email suggestions or if this will go unread into cyberspace?

after the mumbai blasts, the indian government has apparently found out that blogs have been used for anti-muslim, anti-hindu, anti-peace, anti-everything propaganda. so they 'ordered' the ISPs in india to block around 12 individual sites. however due to technical hassle, the host themselves had to be blocked. now the ban has been lifted. u can go here http://www.sepiamutiny.com/sepia/archives/003600.html#more
for more information.

Here's how this happened. Some time last year a big minster sahib decided to investigate this Intarnet thingy one day, got hot and bothered about some of the content that he found, then spent the next 3 days making a mis-spelt list of the sites he didn't like. As these things tend to do, this list slowly found its way from one desk to another to the people who could actually enforce this over the course of a few months by which time half the URls were dead.

Sigh... Probably true too...
