Hope you guys are all safe and doing well.
I was in Bangalore when the man was kidnapped. It was pretty awful. I had to stay over in town at my cousin's place cos the buses weren't safe to board and anyone speaking Tamil or with a TN number plate was getting bashed up on the streets. It was completely unreasonable. But now the man's dead, right? It's no one's fault. So why are people burning tyres? Or anything at all?
Guess this is a form of rebelling against destiny. Film actors in the South are almost like surrogate dads, aren't they? At least it's true in TN and Karnataka. Although I'd be interested to see what happens in Cal when Amitabh dies. They have a temple dedicated to him, you know...
keep ur fingers crossed for my unit. we can't rehearse together cos we can't commute, so they're rehearsing on their own. right now we're just sitting tight. this city's fucking patriots need a fucking fist in the fucking face.
tmrw's show is going to be a washout even if we manage to hold the play together. kant stadium, richmond road and domlur are unsafe.
residential areas unaffected. all commercial areas remain closed.
i remain hugely disgusted by my city's behaviour.

We held ground. Decent house. Decent show. Heroic effort from the entire unit. One more show tmrw and I can go back to holidaying...
